چکیده

Abstract Background The aim of this study was to determine the difference in effects beta-blockers on long-term clinical outcomes between ischemic heart disease (IHD) patients with mid-range ejection fraction (mrEF) and those reduced (rEF). Methods Data were assessed 3508 consecutive IHD who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) 1997 2011. Among them, 316 mrEF (EF = 40–49%) 201 rEF < 40%) identified. They assigned groups according users non-users patients, separately. primary outcome a composite all-cause death non-fatal acute syndrome. Results median follow-up period 5.5 years 4.3 patients. Cumulative event-free survival significantly lower group than without ( p 0.003), whereas no observed 0.137) beta-blockers. In multivariate analysis, use associated reduction (hazard ratio (HR), 0.59; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.36–0.97; 0.036), association among (HR 0.74; CI 0.49–1.10; 0.137). Conclusions Our observational showed that not mrEF, significant rEF.

Evaluation of ejection fraction in patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention

Introduction: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a reperfusion strategy to increase life expectancy and ejection fraction (EF) in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients. We investigated the effect of location, severity, type of lesion, number and type of vessel involved and time of angioplasty on the increase in EF in STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI (P-PCI) a...

In-hospital outcomes after primary percutaneous coronary intervention according to left ventricular ejection fraction

BACKGROUND The primary objective of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is not only to restore the blood flow in the infarct-related artery, but also to save the patients' quality and duration of their life. Since left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) is a known predictor of clinical outcomes in STEMI pa...

Short- and long-term outcomes of percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with low, intermediate and high ejection fraction

BACKGROUND Reduced ejection fraction (EF) has previously been shown to be a risk factor for adverse outcomes in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). However, with the advent of stents, procedural complications and restenosis rates have reduced dramatically. The aim of this study was to assess the association between left ventricular (LV ) ejection fraction and in-hospit...

Effect of left ventricular hypertrophy on long-term survival of patients with coronary artery disease following percutaneous coronary intervention

The impact of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) on survival among patients with established coronary artery disease (CAD) is not well understood. We sought to evaluate the effect of LVH on the survival of patients with CAD following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Three hospitals in New York City contributed prospectively defined data on 4284 consecutive patients undergoing PCI. Allc...

Acute and Long Term Outcomes of Coronary Intervention in Unprotected Left Main Lesions

Introduction : Significant left main coronary artery stenosis jeopardizes the entire myocardium of the left ventricle and has the worst prognosis of any form of coronary artery disease. Coronary-artery bypass grafting (CABG) has been considered as the standard therapeutic approach for such patients. There are limited data on the safety and effectiveness of percutaneous coronary intervention (PC...
